Angie from Louis Theroux Documentary: Speaks Out on Relationship & Netflix Feature

Angie from Louis Theroux Documentary: Speaks Out on Relationship & Netflix Feature

March 21, 2026 Laura Fontaine - Entertainment Editor Entertainment

The release of Louis Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere documentary on March 13, 2026, has ignited conversations surrounding the individuals featured within, and the fallout from their participation. Among those facing scrutiny is Myron Gaines, also known as Amrou Fudl, host of the podcast Fresh and Fit, and his recent split with his girlfriend, Angelica Camacho, known as ‘Angie’ in the documentary.

Gaines, 36, has built a following within the “manosphere” – an online community characterized by often-toxic views on masculinity and relationships – through his podcast, where he and others express controversial opinions on topics ranging from women and Jewish people to the LGBTQIA+ community. The documentary highlighted Gaines’s views, including his belief that women should be “subordinate” and his plans to have “multiple wives,” as reported by the Standard.

A key moment in Inside the Manosphere involved Theroux questioning Gaines about his relationship with Camacho, specifically his description of it as “one-way monogamous” – a dynamic where Gaines maintained open relationships even as expecting monogamy from his partner. The documentary revealed that Gaines and Camacho had already broken up six months prior to the release, a fact that appeared to unsettle Camacho during filming. Now, Camacho has publicly addressed the breakup and her experience with the documentary itself.

Gaines initially attributed the split to Camacho’s desire to start a family, stating he “can’t give that to her right now.” He also expressed regret, saying, “Honestly this s**t is on me though,” and acknowledged Camacho as a “good girlfriend.” However, Camacho’s recent statements, shared via TikTok, paint a more nuanced picture.

Camacho claims she was unaware she would be featured in a documentary until the moment of filming. “I never wanted to be part of any documentary whatsoever – I was never told or asked to be in a documentary until the moment of,” she stated in a TikTok video. While acknowledging she signed documents, she did not elaborate on the specific conditions of her agreement. She further stated she “begged the producers on email thousands of times to take me out of the documentary, but that didn’t happen.”

Camacho emphasized that she has been undergoing therapy and receiving support from friends and family to process the experience. She also addressed speculation about her personal life, stating, “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I never cheated on anybody.” She has since entered a new relationship with someone who she says “cares for me” and makes her feel “special and happy.”

The response to Camacho’s statements has been overwhelmingly supportive, with TikTok users praising her bravery and expressing happiness for her new relationship. One comment, liked by Camacho herself, read, “Hearing that you left that man was honestly the best part of the documentary girl.”

The situation highlights the complex dynamics at play within the manosphere and the potential consequences for those who become entangled in its ideologies. Gaines’s views, as presented in the documentary and through his podcast, are deeply problematic, advocating for a hierarchical relationship structure where women are considered less valuable than men. His book, Why Women Deserve Less, further exemplifies these beliefs.

The documentary’s impact extends beyond Gaines and Camacho’s personal lives. It has sparked a broader conversation about the harmful effects of online misogyny and the need to challenge these ideologies. The attention drawn to Gaines’s views has undoubtedly led to increased scrutiny of his platform and the content he produces.

As of March 21, 2026, Mindhouse Productions and Netflix have not responded to requests for comment regarding Camacho’s claims about her involvement in the documentary.

Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere is currently available for streaming on Netflix, continuing to fuel discussion and debate about the issues it raises.
