For Dolla, whose real name is Dominic Matheson, the remix is deeply personal. “This record was quite literally the soundtrack to my childhood,” he explained in a statement. “It followed me everywhere as a kid. Despite how immersive it was for me, spending a lot of time overseas as an adult, I was surprised how few of my friends were familiar with it.” He stumbled upon the track again whereas preparing for his first stadium show in 2025, finding himself unable to move past its infectious energy.
