Rihanna’s Home Shot At: Suspect Arrested in Beverly Hills Shooting
A Beverly Hills mansion owned by Rihanna was struck by gunfire Sunday afternoon, with at least ten shots fired toward the property, according to Los Angeles Police Department reports. A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, which occurred in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood.
Police responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 1:21 p.m. Local time. A law enforcement source confirmed to multiple outlets that Rihanna was home at the time of the incident, though thankfully, no injuries were reported. Investigators found that at least one round penetrated a wall inside the mansion.
The suspect, driving a white Tesla, allegedly fired multiple rounds from her vehicle toward Rihanna’s home before fleeing the scene. LAPD dispatch audio detailed the vehicle’s escape route – south on Coldwater Canyon Drive – and provided a description of the suspect: braids in her hair, a cream-colored blouse, and a visibly dirty vehicle. An LAPD helicopter tracked the Tesla to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where officers arrested the woman approximately 30 minutes after the initial 911 call.
During the arrest, authorities recovered an assault rifle and seven casings from the suspect’s vehicle, according to LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias. Further investigation revealed bullet holes in a gate at the property and in an RV parked on the driveway.
Rihanna shares the Beverly Hills home with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three young children – a daughter, Rocki, born in September 2025, and two sons, RZA, and Riot. It remains unclear whether Rocky or the children were present during the shooting.
This incident marks the second time Rihanna’s residences have been targeted. In 2018, a man from Fullerton, California, broke into a different home owned by the singer in the Hollywood Hills and remained inside for approximately twelve hours before being discovered by her assistant. Eduardo Leon subsequently pleaded no contest to stalking charges. At the time, Rihanna was not home.
The latest incident raises concerns about the security of high-profile celebrities and the increasing frequency of such events. While the motive behind Sunday’s shooting remains unknown, the brazen nature of the attack – firing an assault rifle at a private residence – is particularly unsettling.
Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty in Barbados, rose to international stardom in the early 2000s with hits like “Pon de Replay” and “Umbrella.” Beyond her successful music career, she has established herself as a prominent businesswoman with ventures including the Fenty Beauty cosmetics line and a lingerie company. Forbes estimates her net worth to exceed $1 billion.
The Los Angeles Police Department is continuing its investigation into the shooting. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the suspect, and further details regarding potential charges are expected to be released in the coming days. The incident underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement in protecting celebrities from unwanted attention and potential threats in the Los Angeles area.
The shooting occurred just months after Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their third child, Rocki, following the births of their sons, RZA in May 2022 and Riot in August 2023. The couple announced their latest pregnancy during the 2025 Met Gala, continuing a pattern of public moments that have kept them in the spotlight.
A$AP Rocky himself faced legal scrutiny in February 2025, being found not guilty of firing a gun at a former friend. Rihanna attended the trial with her two sons, demonstrating the couple’s commitment to supporting each other through personal and professional challenges.
