Royal Caribbean Brings America’s Got Talent to Sea on Legend of the Seas

MIAMI, March 11, 2026 – Royal Caribbean is significantly expanding its live entertainment offerings with the debut of America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas. The indicate, a reimagined extension of the globally popular television franchise, will premiere aboard the Legend of the Seas in August 2026, marking the first time the series will be staged at sea.

The move underscores Royal Caribbean’s ongoing commitment to providing “jaw-dropping performances” across its fleet, according to Christine Coachman, vice president of entertainment for Royal Caribbean. “At Royal Caribbean, we are constantly redefining live entertainment at every turn—bringing jaw-dropping performances to life across stage, air, water, and ice—and America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas is the perfect expression of that vision,” Coachman stated. The cruise line is betting that the established brand recognition of America’s Got Talent will draw audiences and elevate the onboard entertainment experience.

America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas will feature a diverse lineup of performers from the “Got Talent universe,” encompassing magicians, musicians, acrobats, and aerialists. The show will be staged in the ship’s Royal Theater, promising a dynamic and visually engaging experience for families. This isn’t simply a carbon copy of the television show; it’s designed to amplify what has made the franchise a global cultural phenomenon.

Fremantle, a co-producer of America’s Got Talent, is equally enthusiastic about the partnership. Erica Gadecki, Executive Vice President of Partnership Solutions at Fremantle, expressed excitement about bringing the show to a new audience at sea. “We’re thrilled to bring Got Talent to an all-new at sea experience as we set sail for the first time with Royal Caribbean,” Gadecki said. “We can’t wait to showcase incredible acts from around the world on a brand-new stage onboard, creating an unforgettable experience for fans.”

The addition of America’s Got Talent is part of a broader entertainment overhaul for Legend of the Seas. Beyond the headline show, the ship will likewise feature the golden ticket debut of Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Royal Caribbean is clearly positioning Legend as a destination for families seeking a comprehensive entertainment experience. Guests can also expect deck-defying high divers, aerialists, robots, and dancers in the AquaTheater, as well as show-stopping performances at Absolute Zero, the largest ice arena at sea.

The ship’s entertainment options extend beyond the main stages. Royal Caribbean is emphasizing a variety of nightlife options, including jazz tunes at Lou’s, sing-offs at Dueling Pianos, and immersive dining experiences at Hollywoodland Supper Club and Silk Routes at Royal Railway – Legend Station. With over 20 bars, lounges, and live music spots, the cruise line aims to cater to a wide range of tastes.

Legend of the Seas will initially focus on the European market, offering 7-night Western Mediterranean vacations departing from Barcelona, Spain, and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy. Destinations include Provence (Marseille), France; Naples, Italy; and Palma De Mallorca, Spain. In November 2026, the ship will transition to the Caribbean, offering 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean vacations from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All Caribbean itineraries will include a visit to Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, along with stops in destinations like Oranjestad, Aruba, and Willemstad, Curacao.

This expansion of entertainment offerings comes as Royal Caribbean continues to invest in its Icon Class ships. The company is also actively expanding its Artist Discovery program, opening submissions to artists across the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America for the first time. The program, which commissions large-scale murals for its ships, aims to immerse guests in the culture of the destinations they visit. Applications for the next group of artists are being accepted until March 8, 2026.

The integration of a well-known television franchise like America’s Got Talent represents a strategic move for Royal Caribbean. By leveraging existing intellectual property and offering a diverse range of entertainment options, the cruise line is attempting to differentiate itself in a competitive market and attract a broader demographic of travelers. The success of this venture will likely influence future entertainment partnerships and onboard programming decisions.
