The Voice 29: Kelly Clarkson Wins Super Steal & Full Team Rosters Revealed

The Voice 29: Kelly Clarkson Wins Super Steal & Full Team Rosters Revealed

March 10, 2026 Laura Fontaine - Entertainment Editor Entertainment

The Blind Auditions concluded on NBC’s The Voice Season 29 on Monday, March 9, leaving coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend with their teams fully assembled. The episode, dubbed “The Blind Auditions Premiere, Part 3,” similarly revealed which coach secured a new advantage heading into the Battle rounds: the “Super Steal.”

The Finalists and a New Power Dynamic

As the Blind Auditions drew to a close, Kelly Clarkson was nearing completion of her team, holding only two spots. Adam Levine had already secured seven artists, even as John Legend’s team was halfway full. The coaches were each aiming to build a diverse team of ten artists to compete in the subsequent rounds. Beyond team building, a key focus was earning the “Super Steal” – a power allowing a coach to override another’s steal during the Battles. This was achieved by acquiring the most artists through three-chair turns. Comedian Druski and NBA legend Derek Fisher tracked the coaches’ progress on the Triple Turn leaderboard, with Adam initially leading with three artists, followed by Kelly with two, and John trailing with one.

Several artists stood out during the final night of Blind Auditions. KJ Willis, a 35-year-ancient from Memphis, impressed both Kelly Clarkson and John Legend with his rendition of Bobby Brown’s “Roni,” ultimately choosing Team Legend. Houston Kelly, 20, from Memphis, secured a spot on Team Kelly with a powerful performance of Marc Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis.” Ashley Marina, 18, from Pittsburgh, garnered turns from Adam Levine, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson, ultimately joining Team Legend. Aziz Guerra, 20, from El Paso, Texas, captivated Adam Levine with his Spanish-language performance of José José’s “El Triste,” landing a spot on Team Adam.

Not every audition resulted in a chair turn. Mariette Gevorgian, 15, from Burbank, California, delivered a heartfelt performance of Demi Lovato’s “Anyone” but didn’t receive any turns, while Daniel Sovich, 28, from Aurora, Ohio, also didn’t secure a spot after singing Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are.”

A Season of Returning Faces and New Twists

Season 29 of The Voice, dubbed “The Voice: Battle of Champions,” is already underway with a unique format. Following the Blind Auditions and Battles, the Knockouts will introduce the “In-Season All Star Competition.” Each coach will bring back two fan-favorite musicians from previous seasons to compete head-to-head against new artists on their teams. The coach with the most sing-off wins will earn a second finalist in the finale. TODAY reports that several familiar faces will be joining the coaches as mentors and advisors throughout the season.

Benji Madden of Good Charlotte will serve as a battle advisor for Adam Levine, while R&B singer Muni Long will assist John Legend. Notably, Jennifer Hudson, a former coach on Seasons 13 and 15, will return to mentor Team Kelly. Two-time “Voice” champion Michael Bublé will act as a mega mentor for Team Kelly during the Knockouts, and original coach CeeLo Green, who appeared on the first three seasons and Season 5, will mentor both Team Adam and Team Legend.

Kelly Clarkson Claims the Super Steal

The competition for the Super Steal came down to the wire between Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. Both coaches finished the Blind Auditions with three artists who earned three-chair turns. However, Kelly Clarkson ultimately secured the advantage by having more two-chair turns than Adam. This Super Steal will allow her to override another coach’s steal during the Battle rounds, giving her a significant strategic advantage.

The completed teams are as follows:

  • Team Legend: Adi Arora, AJ Robinson, Ashley Marina, Grace Humphries, Kendra Remedios, KJ Willis, Lucas West, Mike Steele, Natasha Blaine, Syd Millevoi
  • Team Kelly: Aaron LaVigne, Abigayle Oakley, Blaire Elbert, Houston Kelly, Jonah Mayor, Julia Golden, JW Griffin, Liv Ciara, Mikenley Brown, Tia Durant
  • Team Adam: Alexia Jayy, Aziz Guerra, Bay Simpson, Bijou Belle, Drew Russell, Hunter Jordan, Jaali Boyd, Jared Shoemaker, Jeremy Keith, Moses G.

What’s Next for The Voice?

With the Blind Auditions complete, the competition moves into the Battle rounds. Coaches will pair artists within their teams to compete against each other, with the winners advancing to the Knockouts. The introduction of the “In-Season All Star Competition” adds an exciting new layer to the show, bringing back beloved contestants from previous seasons. The strategic advantage held by Kelly Clarkson, thanks to the Super Steal, will undoubtedly play a crucial role as the competition intensifies. Fans can expect further announcements regarding performance schedules and guest appearances as the season progresses. People confirms that this season is designed to be a celebration of past contestants, creating a unique dynamic for both the coaches and the audience.

The Battle rounds are scheduled to begin shortly, with episodes airing on NBC. Viewers can also catch up on past episodes and performances on NBC’s website and through various streaming platforms.
