The Citizen is proud to play in leading the community in numerous endeavors, including drives to build a new library, bring the YMCA to town, renovate the historic Owen Theatre and pass a vital school-bond levy. Locally owned and operated by Dan Wehmer, who has been at the Citizen since 1995. Longtime staff members Beverly Hannum and Anna Sturdefant have more than six decades of combined experience with the newspaper. Above being a weekly newspaper, the Citizen also offers a full line of commercial job printing.
