Who Will Be There?

The 2026 LitPop lineup boasts a compelling array of established and emerging voices. Confirmed participants include Sophie Passmann, known for her explorations of contemporary womanhood, and Lukas Rietzschel, a successful author from Görlitz. Ronen Steinke is also scheduled to appear. The program also features a diverse range of perspectives, with authors like Esmaeili Parshad delving into personal family histories in “Papa weg. Mama müde. Ich laut,” and Judith Holofernes examining the roots of people-pleasing tendencies in her work. Comedian Aurel Mertz will be presenting insights from his book “Alpha Boys,” which explores modern conceptions of masculinity.

LitPop isn’t solely focused on readings. Author and moderator Hendrik Bolz will be presenting his new podcast, “Kulturschock – Von Feuilleton bis For You Page,” live on stage. As the evening progresses, the focus shifts to music, with performances scheduled from acts like Only The Poets, Karaoke King, Luis La Metta, Sinamin, and Thomas Stieler. According to event organizers, thematic focal points for this year’s LitPop include emotional exhaustion, questions of identity, relationship dynamics, gender roles, and self-presentation. Michael Nast’s work, “Generation Dating Burnout,” directly addresses the complexities of modern relationships, while Sophie Passmann’s latest book, “Wie kann sie nur?”, examines the challenges of being a woman in the digital age.
