World Leaders Condemn Iranian Attacks as a Violation of International Law and UN Principles
For the third consecutive day, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has received calls from leaders of friendly nations, who condemned the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE and a number of brotherly countries. His Highness and the leaders discussed the regional situation in light of the dangerous military escalation and its implications for regional and international peace and security, exchanging views on the matter.
Russia
Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call from Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, during which they discussed the blatant Iranian attacks on the territories of the UAE and a number of Arab countries, in addition to the serious security and military developments in the region and their impact on regional and international peace and security, exchanging views on the matter.
The President of the UAE and the Russian President, during the call, called for an immediate cessation of military escalation to avoid expanding the conflict in the region and to prioritize the language of dialogue and political solutions in addressing various issues.
Indonesia
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, also received a phone call yesterday from Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, which addressed the latest regional developments in light of the ongoing military escalation and its serious implications for regional and international security and stability.
The Indonesian President expressed during the call his country’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks that targeted the territories of the UAE and a number of brotherly countries, expressing Indonesia’s solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty and preserve its security and the safety of its lands and citizens.
His Highness the President thanked the Indonesian President for his country’s supportive position towards the UAE.
Both sides called for the necessity of an immediate cessation of military operations and resolving various regional issues through dialogue and diplomatic means to ensure the preservation of regional security and stability.
Sierra Leone
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call yesterday from Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, during which they reviewed the developments in the region in light of the dangerous military escalation it is witnessing and its implications for regional and international peace and security, exchanging views on the matter.
The President of Sierra Leone expressed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the UAE and a number of brotherly countries, stressing that they constitute a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations, and expressing Sierra Leone’s solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to preserve its land, security and the safety of its citizens.
His Highness the President thanked Julius Maada Bio for his country’s supportive position towards the UAE.
The two sides called during the call for the necessity of restraint and stopping military escalation in the region, as it poses a serious threat to its security and stability, and resolving various issues through dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
Timor-Leste
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, also received a phone call yesterday from José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, during which they discussed the latest regional developments and the serious implications of the escalation witnessed in the region on its security and stability.
The President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste affirmed during the call the solidarity of Timor-Leste with the UAE in the face of Iranian attacks targeting its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its lands and citizens.
His Highness the President thanked José Ramos-Horta for Timor-Leste’s supportive position towards the UAE.
The two sides called for the necessity of settling disputes and issues through dialogue and diplomacy to preserve regional and international security and stability.
North Macedonia
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, also received a phone call yesterday from Dr. Hristijan Mickoski, Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, during which they discussed developments in the region.
The Prime Minister of North Macedonia expressed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the territories of the UAE and a number of brotherly countries, affirming North Macedonia’s solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to protect its security and stability and the safety of its lands and citizens.
His Highness the President thanked the Prime Minister for North Macedonia’s supportive position towards the UAE.
Both sides affirmed the necessity of an immediate cessation of military operations and a return to dialogue and diplomatic means to contribute to avoiding further escalation in the region and preserving regional and international security and stability.
