Arnold Palmer Invitational 2026: Round 3 TV, Streaming & Tee Times

Arnold Palmer Invitational 2026: Round 3 TV, Streaming & Tee Times

March 7, 2026 Carlos Moreno - Sports Editor Sports

ORLANDO, Fla. – Daniel Berger is building a formidable lead at the March 6, Saturday Arnold Palmer Invitational, carding a 68 in the second round to reach 13 under par at Bay Hill Club & Lodge. The performance comes after an opening-round 63, and gives Berger a commanding five-shot advantage over Akshay Bhatia heading into the weekend.

The conditions at Bay Hill are proving challenging, with players describing the course as a preview of the U.S. Open. “You’ve just got to stay patient and take what the course gives you,” Berger said. “And when you have an opportunity, you’ve got to take advantage because there’s not many of them out there.” The greens, already yellowing by Wednesday, are expected to develop into even more difficult as the tournament progresses, with Collin Morikawa noting they could be “purple” by Sunday.

While Berger is comfortably in the lead, a cluster of notable players remain within striking distance. Ludvig Åberg, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala are all within seven shots of the lead, while stars like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Rickie Fowler are still in contention, all within the top 15.

The demanding conditions are impacting scoring across the board. Harris English described Friday’s play as feeling like a “Sunday afternoon” at a U.S. Open, noting the difficulty in even locating ball marks on the greens. Morikawa has even resorted to using a color chart to assess the changing green conditions.

For Berger, a win at Bay Hill would be his first PGA Tour victory in five years. He attributes his success to a simple formula: fairways and greens. “The recipe is pretty simple. It’s fairways and greens, and if you can do that, it’s hard for guys to catch you,” he explained. He also emphasized a mental approach of focusing on his own game rather than the leaderboard.

Akshay Bhatia sits in second place at 8 under, followed by a trio of players – Åberg, Morikawa, and Theegala – tied for third at 7 under. Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele are among those further back, tied for sixth at 6 under.

The tournament is the third signature event on the PGA Tour’s 2026 schedule. The cut will be made after 36 holes, with the top 50 players and ties, plus anyone within 10 shots of the lead, advancing to the weekend rounds.
