Liverpool face a pivotal month in their pursuit of silverware, with a demanding March schedule holding the key to progression in both the FA Cup and Champions League.

Arne Slot’s side have navigated February with relative ease, but March presents a significantly different challenge, testing their ability to contend on multiple fronts as the season reaches a critical juncture.

The Reds face a travel-heavy month, with only two home fixtures scheduled amidst four away games. Their fortunes in the FA Cup and Champions League hang in the balance.

March 3 – Wolves (A)

The month begins with the first of two consecutive trips to Wolves, starting with a Premier League clash. Liverpool secured a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture, but will be aware that Wolves, currently languishing near the bottom of the league table, will present a stern test.

March 6 – Wolves (A)

Just 70 hours after the Premier League encounter, Liverpool return to Molineux for an FA Cup tie. A quarter-final berth is at stake, a stage Liverpool last reached during Jurgen Klopp’s final season. The quick turnaround will undoubtedly test Slot’s squad rotation and tactical flexibility.

March 10 – Galatasaray (A)

Following the FA Cup tie, Liverpool embark on another road trip, this time to face Galatasaray in the first leg of their last 16 Champions League tie. The match is scheduled for an unusual 5.45pm (UK) kickoff. Liverpool suffered a defeat in Istanbul earlier in the season and will be eager to avenge that result and establish a first-leg advantage.

March 15 – Tottenham (H)

Sandwiched between the Champions League commitments is a home fixture against Tottenham, who are currently struggling near the relegation zone and have recently appointed an interim manager, Igor Tudor, following the dismissal of Thomas Frank. Liverpool won the previous meeting between the two sides 2-1, a match marred by a serious leg injury to Alexander Isak.

March 18 – Galatasaray (H)

Liverpool then return to Anfield to host Galatasaray in the second leg of their Champions League tie. A strong performance and positive result will be crucial to securing a place in the quarter-finals, where they could face either Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain.

March 21 – Brighton (A)

The month concludes with a challenging away trip to Brighton. Liverpool have already secured two wins over Fabian Hurzeler’s side this season and will aim to complete the season sweep. It is anticipated that Alexander Isak will be nearing a return to training around this time, though a full return to match action is likely to be delayed until April.

Following a demanding month, the players will disperse for international duty, offering a brief respite before the final push for silverware.

March 28 – Liverpool Legends vs. Dortmund

The international break weekend will feature a special occasion at Anfield: a Liverpool Legends match against Borussia Dortmund. Jurgen Klopp will return to the touchline to assist Sir Kenny Dalglish, while fans will have the opportunity to see Steven Gerrard and Thiago Alcantara reunite in midfield.
