Volvo 244 DL -84: A Low-Mileage Time Capsule
At Bromsplans Bil AB in Örebro, this unassuming white four-door Volvo 240 DL from 1984 stands out for its simplicity. It has only a “raggartrappa” (a decorative grille) on the rear window as extra equipment. The charm of this car lies in its ordinariness. With just 2,500 kilometers (approximately 1,553 miles) on the odometer, stepping inside is like entering a time capsule from an era when Olof Palme was still Prime Minister, but the Swedish wage earner funds had already been scrapped.
Volvo 242 GT -79 Rally: A Sporting Heritage
Before Volvo offered Turbo and GLT models, the 242 GT was the sportiest option. Produced in 1978 and 1979, it featured a distinctive stripe and 140 horsepower. Two-door versions are particularly sought after in rallying circles due to their increased torsional rigidity compared to the four-door variant. This particular example has been converted into a rally car and is registered for competition use.

Volvo Amazon 123 Sport Herrgårdsvagn USA -68: A Rare Find
Volvo cars weren’t always boxy. The Amazon is known for its sleek design. Although not common on today’s roads, many still exist. Rarer are the more powerful Sport models with dual carburetors and the estate (herrgårdsvagn) version with a two-piece tailgate. This particular Amazon is offered by Autocollection Sweden AB and is exceptionally rare: it’s a Sport model estate, in US specification. Only 21 such examples are believed to exist. The car has been carefully restored and is priced at 299,999 Swedish krona (approximately $27,500 USD as of March 8, 2026).

Volvo V70R AWD -04: A Modern Classic
A spiritual successor to the Amazon estate above is this Volvo V70R AWD. Both are practical family cars enhanced with Volvo’s strongest engine of their time. The turbocharged inline-five produces 300 horsepower through an automatic transmission. The Volvo V70R, like the 850 variants T-Gul (T-5R) and T-Röd (850R), is becoming a future classic. The car is for sale at MH Bilcity.

Volvo 265 GLE -79: Electrified Classic
This Volvo 265 GLE in gold metallic has been previously covered. The car, available at Nilskog Bilgruppen, has been converted to electric power by New Electric in the Netherlands. It offers smoother, more consistent power delivery than the original and a range of 300 kilometers (approximately 186 miles) on a single charge.
Volvo 122 Sport -65 Rally: A Homage to Racing History
Like Saab, Volvo has a strong history in rallying. This is a replica of the Volvo Amazon 122 Sport that won the Acropolis Rally in 1965. The car is sold by HRM Bil and comes with a comprehensive collection of spare parts for those wanting to compete on gravel roads.

Volvo 850 T-5R Sedan -95 (T-Gul): The Yellow Peril
Volvo 850 surprised the car world. While boxy, it had front-wheel drive and a spirited five-cylinder engine. It was a far cry from the more staid 240 and 740 series. The even more surprising T-5R was launched in yellow. This version, dubbed T-Gul, is iconic. But, the automatic transmission version had a slightly detuned engine to ensure gearbox durability.
This sedan example is for sale at Nilskog Bilgruppen.
Volvo 850R -97 (T-Röd): The Red Follow-Up
Volvo’s PR department followed up the T-Gul with a red 850R, known as T-Röd. This was followed by the V70 R AWD – naturally launched in blue and nicknamed T-Blå. The Volvo 850R is not quite as iconic as the T-5R, but it’s still a desirable classic. This example is available from Garage-11 in Oxie, just outside Malmö.
Volvo 1800 ES -73: The Shooting Brake
The Volvo 1800 ES, a shooting brake version of the sports car, is another Volvo icon. Its all-glass tailgate is perfect for carrying golf bags or gear for a motorboat trip. The tailgate design has repeatedly inspired Volvo designers, most notably in the Volvo C30, and in the tailgates of several estate cars, such as the first generation Volvo V60. It also heavily influenced the Volvo 480 ES and 480 Turbo.

This renovated Volvo 1800 ES is offered by Epicar.
Volvo PV 544 Duett Pickup -67: A Unique Conversion
Many Volvo Amazons, PV 444s, and PV 544s are in excellent condition, but this PV 544 Duett stands out. It’s not in original condition but has been converted into a pickup. This was common for EPA tractors in the 1970s, but this Duett’s 75-horsepower B18 engine hasn’t been restricted. The grille comes from a 1953 PV444 – a stylish upgrade. This striking build is for sale at Ucars Exclusive AB in Eslöv.

Notably absent from this list are any cars from the Volvo 700 or 900 series. We simply didn’t find any that qualified. If you’ve spotted an interesting 740/760 or 940/960 on Blocket, share the link in the comments!
