The app in question is called AICore, and it’s present on a wide range of Android smartphones. As the name suggests, it’s related to artificial intelligence functions. While it might seem essential, AICore primarily handles features that most users rarely engage with. Disabling it not only frees up storage but also can release RAM, leading to faster app installations, file transfers, and overall system responsiveness.

What is AICore and What Does it Do?

AICore occupies a maximum of 7GB of space on your device, though the exact amount can vary depending on the phone model. It acts as a bridge between your phone’s hardware and Gemini Nano AI, Google’s on-device AI model. Specifically, AICore manages AI processes that don’t require an internet connection.
