LG 2026 OLED TVs: G6 & C6 Pricing, Specs & New Features

LG 2026 OLED TVs: G6 & C6 Pricing, Specs & New Features

March 7, 2026 Sarah Wu - Tech Editor Tech and Science

LG has begun accepting preorders for its 2026 OLED evo TVs, the G6 and C6 series, with pricing details now available. The announcement comes as LG aims to maintain pricing stability despite rising supply chain costs, a notable move in the premium television market. The G6 series, featuring LG’s new Hyper Radiant panel, starts at $2,499, while the C6 series begins at $1,399.

Understanding the OLED evo Technology

At the heart of both the G6 and C6 is LG’s OLED evo technology, which promises brighter and more vibrant images. The G6, positioned as a flagship model, utilizes a tandem OLED panel – stacking two blue OLED displays with one green and one red – to achieve a reported 20% increase in brightness compared to its predecessor, the G5. The Shortcut details how this stacked configuration contributes to a significantly brighter picture while maintaining the deep blacks characteristic of OLED technology. This brightness enhancement is particularly appealing for high dynamic range (HDR) content and gaming.

LG G6: Premium Brightness and Design

The LG G6 is available in screen sizes ranging from 55 to 97 inches. Beyond the enhanced brightness, LG has addressed a banding issue observed in previous models, resulting in smoother gradients and improved image quality. The G6 also boasts a remarkably thin profile, remaining one of the slimmest TV designs on the market. It supports gaming features like a 165Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, and a rapid 0.1ms response time, making it a compelling option for gamers.

LG C6: Accessible Performance with Key Upgrades

The LG C6 series, available in 42- to 83-inch sizes, offers a more accessible entry point into LG’s OLED technology. While smaller C6 models (65-inch and below) utilize a standard WOLED display, larger 77- and 83-inch models feature the Hyper Radiant panel found in the G6 series, designated as the C6H. All C6 models benefit from LG’s Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, which enhances picture quality through advanced upscaling and image processing. LG’s product page highlights the C6’s ability to deliver a vibrant and detailed 4K viewing experience.

AI Upscaling and Picture Processing

A significant improvement showcased by LG is its enhanced AI upscaling technology. Demonstrations show the ability to convincingly upscale 720p content to near-4K quality, with the AI algorithms effectively remastering colors and details. This is achieved through the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, which analyzes and optimizes images in real-time. The processor also supports Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Compensation, a feature developed in collaboration with Hollywood filmmakers to ensure accurate color reproduction based on the viewer’s room lighting conditions.

Connectivity and Smart Features

Both the G6 and C6 series are equipped with LG’s webOS 2026 smart TV platform, powered by Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. This integration provides users with access to a wide range of streaming services, apps, and smart home features. Interestingly, LG has downgraded from Wi-Fi 6E to Wi-Fi 5 for both TV series, a decision that may impact wireless performance for users with demanding network requirements. The TVs also offer access to over 400 free channels through LG Channels and a library of over 10,000 movies and shows on demand.

Promotional Offers and Availability

LG is currently offering a promotional deal where customers who preorder either the G6 or C6 series can purchase a one- or two-year LG Premium Care Plan for just $1. This offer is valid from March 4 to March 13, 2026, and is not available in Florida. The LG promotion page details the terms and conditions of this offer. Eligible TVs may qualify for a free stand and professional installation. Preorders are expected to start shipping the week of April 27, 2026, or as product becomes available.

What to Expect Next

Following the preorder period, the focus will shift to the full rollout of the G6 and C6 series. Independent reviews and benchmarks will become available, providing a more comprehensive assessment of their performance and value. Potential buyers should monitor these reviews to gain insights into real-world performance and compare the G6 and C6 models to competing OLED TVs from other manufacturers. The availability of firmware updates will also be crucial, as LG may address any initial software issues or further optimize picture quality through future updates.
